Love almost everything about it, the control of heat most but the stainless steel pan the burners set in, there should be a porcelain option for easier cleaning. SS has a grain, very hard to keep clean without scratching

We are very happy with the GE 36" Monogram cooktop. Spent a lot of time trying to find a cooktop where we did not have to make additional cut in the granite. The GE unit fit perfectly in the existing cutout, saving us from a lot of granite dust in the kitchen.
We had a four-burner and ended up with a five-burner unit. Great outcome.
After a few days of cooking, the unit works perfectly for our needs.
I would buy it again.

The product description claims "sealed burners," but the power burner is not sealed to the cooktop. This constitutes false advertising by GE/Monogram. Liquids can seep directly into the cooktop's electrical components, potentially causing damage and expensive repairs. In comparison, competitors' products have burners sealed to the stove, providing better protection, unlike this model. And the app is so useless, it does nothing besides it tells you that cooktop is on or off. There is any other controls you can do with app. The GE Monogram page is filled with misleading information.

This unit replaced a 15 year old similar Monogram stove top. This unit fit perfectly in the old space. I like the integrated timer but it does respond with beeps when cleaned with a sponge which is annoying and will accidentally lock itself occasionally. A physical button would be nice to turn on/off the timer and lockout features. The cast iron grates are heavy duty but a bit rougher on the pan bottoms than the last unit. Their rough exterior tend to scratch pans when sliding over the grates. The control knobs are illuminated which allows you to easily spot burners that are on but set too low to spot the flame. It's a bit hard to clean around and in between the knobs. It would be nice if the knobs would easily come off for cleaning between them. The stainless steel pan seems similar to my old unit. It's currently easy to clean once you move the cast iron grates. Do not use anything scratchy to clean the pan as it is easily scratched.
The unit is a dream to cook on. All the burners heat evenly and all of them can be set to simmer. I would recommend this stove top but understand that cleaning is a bit more tedious than it should be.

While this is a beautiful stove, if it breaks, as mine has, GE doesn™™t want to help. While a burner is on, often all other burners will click to spark multiple time even when not asked for. The dealer I bought it from has been out three times to change parts and the GE service rep as been out once. Everyone said it is not repairable but GE corporate says it is working fine. Beyond frustrating.

We all of it except the fact that the bronze burners discolor with use. It would be great if the all aluminum one were included as the daily cooking ones and the bronze as decorative pieces.. only thing my wife™™s doesn™™t like.

I love that each burner simmers perfectly and is easy to clean. It even has a timer that is a great safety feature should one leave the kitchen and get occupied elsewhere! The stovetop actually looks substantial and adds to the beauty of my remodeled kitchen. My husband and I are so happy with this product. We cannot imagine why we waited to purchase.

Love this gas range. However, black grates started to loose color after only a few times of use. Called GE technician out. He confirmed my Farberware pots and pans were not the reason that the greats were losing their color. He could not explain why this was happening. Within two months after purchasing this product, they replaced the grates for free. Within another month of use, the grates started losing their color again and turning silver.
I also ordered the gold caps. They are very hard to keep clean. Best solution for cleaning is barkeepers friend. I ordered another set of gold to use for show. It was recommended that you remove the caps anytime you™™re going to cook. Still not happy that the grades don™™t hold their black color.

Just replaced our countertops after 33 years and chose this Monogram cooktop. This is our third gas cooktop and it is our favorite. We love the design of the iron grates - wonderful for people who love to do heavy duty cooking. The center burner is very powerful and quickly heats whatever you are cooking - great for Wok cooking.

I was a die-hard Wolf user, but decided to try something different. What sold me? The gorgeous brass accents. If you are a non-cook, this is a great aesthetic choice. If, like me, you've used the range top a total of 10 times and this is how your brass looks... hard pass. Seriously looks like we've had it for 10 years.

Looks fantastic and the double burners is a definite plus. The large BTU burner is fantastic for pasta water. The way the grates fit in the top or better than our previous cook top. These lock in the edges around the cooktop.

This cooktop was purchased not only because we prefer cooking with gas, but also because of the aesthetic value of the brass/gold center-caps. And within ONE SINGLE USE (boiled pasta on the center burner), the brass insert has completely lost it™™s ™gold™ luster and turned silver. This is completely unacceptable, and I can™™t believe GE/Monogram were not aware of this issue during testing of their appliance. It™™s very sad to us, and feels like a complete waste of money now. In the picture I attached, the insert on the right is from a satellite burner, and the insert on the left is from the center burner. The removal of the ™gold™™ patina is NOT due to it not being cleaned or maintained properly. This happened on the very first use of the cooktop, and nothing was spilled. Please DO NOT past a reply instructing us on how to keep our inserts clean - that is NOT the issue. The issue is that the inserts are poorly designed, with substandard materials, and the manufacturer does not want to address this concern directly, so they offer useless replies about ™how to clean™ your inserts. Give me a break. What ever happened to ™telling the truth™ ? I guess this is the new normal, and I™™m DONE with Monogram appliances.

When wiping done the stainless steel top near the controls, the touch screen is so sensitive that it easily locks the controls or the e timer starts if you barely touch even near the screen. Hmmm. Guess I need to look thoroughly through the instruction booklet?

Previously we owned a Maytag stove top which gave us 19 years of great service. I decided that I would like to have perhaps have better technology, and something that looked as well as it worked better then what we previously owned. So we went with the monogram series stove top.. WOW what a mistake! Whomever came up with this design should be fired along with whoever approved of it. Yes I will admit I was wowed by the brass inserts centered of the burners I thought wow what a nice touch.. But of course they discolor and are apt to stains and are always in need of scrubbing. First off the finish of the stainless steel stovetop itself is too rough and is hard to wipe clean. The knobs themselves are too smooth and if you have any thing on your fingers while cooking it is very hard to turn the knobs to adjust the flame... also there is a recessed portion at the top of the knobs which makes it even more difficult to clean what a stupid idea that was... And also while cleaning the stove top there is a touch screen that gives you the option of locking the burners as well as a timer which always executes while wiping it off... Yet another stupid idea.
At first I was impressed with the four large burners and especially the extra large burner in the center, however the largeest one in the center is useless because from the medium setting down.....only allows the 1-in extra burner in the center to be lit. Which absolutely renders the large size of it to be reduced to a 1-in burner? The whole idea of a large burner is to have from low to high settings to be just that and not be reduced to a 1-in burner that is in the center which creates a uselessness of having a large burner to accommodate a large pan.
Also I noticed that there is very little difference from a medium flame to a large flame on all other burners.
I also am very frustrated by the fact that no matter how far away I am from the ignition position on the knobs I get a intermittent ignition for 10 to 15 seconds as though I am trying to ignite a burner It just keeps clicking no matter what position any of the knobs are in, And mind you I am a very good cook and I have never spilled any liquids through the burners or the knobs...
My other gripe is that the burner grills are so extremely thin and cheaply made, they are not of quality or thick by any means and there are times where when I put a large pot of water down on the grill I feel as though I'm going to break off a part of it, I can't stop thinking that this is yet another piece of crap China made product that was unfortunately designed here in the USA.
When will we start producing quality products right here in the good ol' USA that is worthy of well over the $2,$$$ that I spent?
I know that this product and it's upper management is so woke and so screwed up that we wind up with products such as this monogram series stovetop... When will it end?
Maybe when President Trump comes back into office we will see a difference in the products that we provide to people here in the States.
I absolutely positively know I will not win a $500 check for giving my opinion of this product nor do I give a rat's rear one way or the other. I have been slightly bombarded with text messages and emails to give my opinion however I don't think this one is very well accepted nonetheless it is the truth!!!! Furthermore do not send me an email telling me thank you for my opinion or my interest in your products I also know for a fact you will not publicize my thoughts for the obvious facts that I have given.

The cooktop is great. Knobs are solid. Burners work great. But the igniter keeps clicking thinking the burners are not on. They are dry and clean but every minute or so it clicks for no reason and this is annoying.

We replaced a 15 year old GE Monogram glass cooktop which was a nightmare to clean. This model is so much nicer. On the downside, one brass burner top developed small black spots which can't seem to be removed. We also had to wait seven months for the unit
