Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. NICE and QUIET

We wanted to replace an old washing machine - A TOP LOADER - that was on its last legs and making horrible noise. So - the big feature were looking for was QUIET OPERATION and this one is quieter than a mouse AND has a nice little song it plays that you can hear all over the house - but is amazingly soft - when its done. BEST WASHING MACHINE EVER. Love the FRONT LOAD so we can stack a DRYER on it later. Thanks LG - Great JOB - Keep it up.

Extremely Disappointed with LG and Lowes Customer

In April 2026 my LG washing machine malfunctioned and flooded my home causing significant water damage and forcing me to leave my residence while cleanup and repairs were addressed. As of June 18 2026 I still have not received any meaningful update resolution or communication regarding my claim. I have fully cooperated throughout this process and completed every form and document requested by both LG and Lowes. I promptly submitted photographs videos receipts and other documentation showing the damage to my home. Despite doing everything that was asked of me no one has taken the time to call me explain the status of my claim or provide any timeline for resolution. What makes this situation even more frustrating is that I paid for this washing machine with my own money expecting a safe reliable product. Instead I received a defective appliance that flooded my home damaged my property disrupted my life and created months of stress and inconvenience. Since April I have spent countless hours making phone calls sending emails and visiting the Lowes store on Northwoods Boulevard in North Charleston South Carolina seeking answers. I have visited the store approximately eight times. During one visit a manager assured me he would follow up but I never received a call. I was also instructed to contact the warehouse myself regarding questions that should have been handled internally by Lowes. Since Lowes removed the washer and returned it to the warehouse I expected Lowes and LG to communicate directly regarding the inspection and findings. The most disappointing part of this experience has been the complete lack of communication and accountability. My calls have gone unanswered my emails have not been returned and I have been left without information for more than two months. No customer who has suffered substantial property damage due to a defective product should be treated this way. I have done everything requested of me. I have provided evidence cooperated fully and remained patient throughout this process. In return I have received little to no communication from either company. I am requesting immediate action a status update on my claim and a clear timeline for resolution. If this matter continues to be ignored I will pursue further escalation through corporate leadership consumer protection agencies and any other appropriate channels available to me. I expected better from both LG and Lowes. Unfortunately this experience has been frustrating exhausting and deeply disappointing.

Horrible product as well as horrible customer service. My washer broke one month into use and took 2 months to be repaired. The water damage to my home still isnt rectified after many calls and emails to customer service. Wouldnt recommend to my worst enemy.

Leaks and floods laundry room

This washing machine has flooded our laundry room 3 times. It is just over a year old so when we called lg they wanted to charge us $349 just to come inspect it. So we elected not to and my Husband has tried to figure out where this leak is coming from. We use he detergent and not much. It leaks randomly so some washes its fine some it leaks. We clean and drain filter and it just has been a nightmare. So whenever we wash clothes we stay nearby and bought leak detectors that sound off around the machine when it leaks. This machine has been the worse machine we have ever owned and of customer service will not help if times past a year unless you paid for the extended warranty which I never have had to. This was not a cheap machine and Im surprised at how many problems its caused for us.

Broke down after 3 months. Watching 2 men completely disassemble the washer in my laundry room and driveway. Hoses wires gaskets brackets. Everything. Replacing the whole tub assembly. Bearings are shot. Doesnt happen usually for 5-10 years but LG WOULD RATHER REBUILD IT than replace.

Cannot Disable Turbowash- Do Not Buy

I am so disappointed by this washer. Please be aware before you buy: You cannot disable the turbowash button on the normal cycle so your only options are either turbowash delicate or bedding/towels. No such thing as just a normal cycle- it wont allow it. I wish I could return this washer. And btw the door latch is made of plastic and will break soon- I guarantee it. Why dont they make things to last anymore?

Broken Machine and Worthless Customer Service

I was sold a faulty product. Within two months of purchase the weight sensors had to be replaced. After fixing an electrical issue started occurring where the machine would not work for days at a time and then would randomly start working again. I have been elevated to the Presidential Liason team for replacement/refund but no one has processed my claim. Multiple times I have received emails asking if I had received my replacement washer even though no one from any delivery team has contacted me. Multiple times I have been pressured to accept a different resolution have been lied to by customer service claiming that they never sent me any email regarding the replacement of my unit and have been told that the reason that I cannot receive a replacement is that they no longer have any in stock but at the same time they do not want to give me full revenue price for a replacement unit. My factory warranty expires in August. At this point I just assume that LG is continuing to punt the issue so that they no longer have to guarantee complimentary repairs due to my warranty and I will SOL. Worst customer service experience of my life. No one can actually help me when I call everyone says that they are the highest level of customer service but I talk to a different person each time. How many different supervisor-level employees does LG employ? Every time I talk to customer service I get told that someone from Presidential Liaison will reach out to me but I have yet to receive any sort of notification or call from them. Ive given up at this point of even having a positive resolution of this matter. If I could give this product and LGs customer service 0/5 stars I would but it wont let me.

Glass Door Exploded - Avoid LG

We bought the washer/dryer set in May 2025. On 4/26/26 the glass door on the washer spontaneously exploded. I wouldnt believe it had I not been 25 feet away when it happened. Nothing ever hit the door and the last laundry load was done 36 hours prior. LG says its a cosmetic defect and not covered under warranty. The glass is a functional piece not cosmetic. We use the machine as laid out in the manual and follow all regular maintenance procedures. The cost and time to get a repair person to fix it is better spent on a new washer NOT from LG. This is the last product I ever buy from them. Bought it from Home Depot and they are of no help either.

Bearings should not break within 90 days. Quality control was lacking. Going on second month waiting for repair. Unfortunately the first technician shared that LG America will not replace it they would rather rebuild the whole thing. Second technician said it was obviously defective. That made me decide to ask for replacement. Management didnt like that I mentioned fighting for replacement so they barred me from further service calling me abusive. Tough fight. Good luck to me. Suggestion: Dont tell the technician if you plan to seek legal help. They will report it and you could get banned from warranty service.

Lasted 3 months. Bearings broke. 2 LG technicians said it was defective from the factory as bearings only break after many years of heavy use. Then they omitted telling me that from their report which caused my account to be flagged because I felt it should be replaced if defective. Liaison Kiara was rude about it and told me to take it or leave it. She hastily FLAGGED my account so I could get no service. Been waiting 45 days for honest technician.

Do not order this item with LG. I placed an order 12 days ago and theyve already missed a delivery date with zero communication or follow-up. Every time I call I get a representative in another country that is reading a script. No one can tell me when Ill receive the items so I had to cancel.

Missed Chance to Use

Never had chance to try my new expensive LG front-load washer and dryer set which I may have loved. The drivers carelessly dropped sic crashed my expensive new tech machines from 5-1/2 truck to the street with loud crash. When I objected they said the lift was broken Family said to refuse delivery of surely damaged tech or other parts. Ive yet to receive my refund and so remain without w/d.

I purchased the LG washing machine WM4000HBA.ABLEVUS with delivery and installation. After everything was set up I discovered a leak behind the washing machine. I contacted LG Support multiple times and honestly the experience was a mess: Three times I spent over an hour on hold and never reached a person. One time I was told they would call me back on Monday no one called. The one time I did reach support they sent me a YouTube link explaining how to fix a leak. I could understand a DIY link if I installed it myself but this was installed by LG. I shouldnt be troubleshooting a leak caused by installation especially without tools or expertise. To make it worse they told me they would send a survey about my experience it never arrived. I also emailed LG and they just told me to call support again which is exactly the problem. The washing machine itself seems great but LG customer support is awful. Because of the installation issue and the terrible support I cant recommend LG.

Machines get great reviews everywhere but what does that matter if you literally CAN NOT get support. I spent a combined 5 hours on hold just trying to get delivery which was ultimately cancelled two weeks after ordered and promised. Imagine if you needed to actually get service if you cant even get help buying the units. Utterly worthless.

DO NOT ORDER LG IS SCAM. Its pure scam. They said they will deliver on Dec 2nd they even sent fake emails that they have received the order but we never received any message about delivery and installation. I have sent multiple emails stayed on phone for nearly 6 hours and I still dont know where my order is. I am now worried that I lost my money. This is a warning for everyone else here. PLEASE DO NOT ORDER ON THE LG WEBSITE. youd be better off buying something in a best buy or home depot.

Within 40 hours of delivery and only 3 regular laundry loads the drum is rubbing the door seal causing the seal to deteriorate. This was my 4th LG washer but this one doesnt make the cut. My WM4200HBA model LG washer that is 5 years old is amazing but sadly the WM4000HBA that I bought to replace my 10 year old LG that died isnt the same quality machine.

If I could I would give 0 stars. A nightmare with this washer and especially LG customer service. It stains my white clothes so bad that half of my familys wardrobe is in the garbage I run a cleaning cycle probably more often than once a month and all the customer service keeps telling me is you have to clean it 5 times in a row once a month. When I asked for someone to check it out they tell me I will pay for it?????? Even though its still under manufacturer warranty and I paid 5 years insurance from Best Buy. But Best Buy cant do anything until a year after when the manufacturer warranty expires and I bought it in January. Mind you the problems started shortly after I purchased it and they still havent done anything. They also told me to get a special cleaning company to do it? So Im supposed to pay for extra hot water and electricity by running 5 cycles back to back to clean it once a month Im supposed to keep throwing my white clothes to the garbage pay for a cleaning company and if not helped going to the laundromat even though I bought a washer for a reason??? Such a waste of money its insane

Purchasing from LG direct is a scam. Purchase from a trusted reputable retailer. My washer unit started thumping at 1st wash by the 2nd try - my floor was flooded. Countless calls to LG customer service after leaking unit flooding - they finally sent 2x technicians resulting in a cracked back panel. Water gushing out the crack and thus the loud thumping noise. The technician said its irreparable and that it was most likely damaged during freighting b/c the cracking is so sever. Back to customer service and their presidential liaison Abigail who has done NOTHING to resolve. Rather continues to push back and now tell me the ticket is closed b/c my unit was repaired. SPEECHLESS. They wont escalate and my washing machine is broken on the floor. WORST SERVICE and NO BENEFITS IN PURCHASING FROM LG DIRECT.

Part replaced twice and still doesnt work

Noise: My LG washer was working fine until I washed my first load of hot water. After that it developed a metallic grinding noise during every agitation cycle. Still under warranty but after an extended delay the first LG technician arrived and installed a new circulating pump. When the noise continued there was another delay until a new LG tech diagnosed it as the drum. However when he replaced the drum he didnt notice that the new drum had a large crack and water flooded my laundry room floor so he ordered a 2nd drum. Then there has been another extended delay because the 2nd drum that he ordered 5 days ago still hasnt arrived. I am now without a working washing machine for nearly 3 weeks. The topic instructions say I cant mention poor C.S. the foreign call center or the quality of the LG technicians.

My set back with LG services reps

Its been very bad experiences with LG service rep. It seems this WM4000HBA sipping out gradually and damaged our garage tiles underneath washer and neighboring tiles. I called service reps and troubleshooting the basic but cannnot pin point the leak. Reps agreed with me that It might come from bottom of LG washer. Although reps helped me troubleshoot the basic theyre not willing to help to get a LG technician to our home unless I can provide the evidence of where the leak from. Its not just me but reps together performed basic leaks and cannot find the leak but my floor under LG washer is always wet. Its very hard to engage with service rep and get a technician coming for troubleshooting even though I told I am willing to pay for any charges. Luckily I found LG service tech in my area with a few clicks on LG website. What the time I wasted while dealing with few service reps and actually I can get the LG tech to fix the washer. Why bother After this setback for sure my family and extended family and friends will be very hesitant to buy any LG products. Washer leaks but no way I can get LG technicians to fix unless me as customer demonstrates where the leak it. Not for me and family and friends

This is the second LG washer Ive owned. I love all the choices for cycles and how clean it gets my clothes. It works great but the rubber gasket has a horrible smell that wont go away. Ive tried vinegar and water downy rinse and refresh baking soda and water You might want to smell gasket before you accept washer.

Ordered product and got a delivery date of the following week 7 days exactly. 6 days after order was told it would be another 3 days because the shipper RXO only delivered on Mondays to my area. The day was set and a hour later I get an email of the delivery being changed to the following week. an hour on the phone with them no change in delivery date. Monday comes phone calls to RXO and LG no delivery was going to happen. LG rep was very nice and offered some compensation for going without a washer and assured me it will be there the next week. 5 days later email from RXO cant deliver on date promised. Back on the phone with LG with no resolution. Of the 5 or 6 customer reps that I talked to LG and RXO could only fully understand 1 because of their foreign accents. Now it will be 4 weeks after being ordered and no guarantee it will even be delivered then. RXO needs to be avoided as a delivery company. I should have listened to reviews about shipping from LG and their delivery company RXO. They will not deliver on dates told. Canceled the order and going to pick up another brand myself.

this LG washer was reasonably priced and is very quiet. At first I thought the mobile phone notifications for washer and dryer were gimmicky but Ive now found them to be useful reminders when Im not in earshot of washer/dryer. I really like the dark grey finish as opposed to black.

Ive only run about six loads in the past few weeks. The clothes seem clean but Im concerned that theres moisture left in the front door seal and in the detergent cups. Ive never had a front-loader before. Is this normal? And Ill never need most of the features and certainly not the wifi enabled ones

Delivery of damaged washer

Lg should fire delivery company RXO I was in the process of relocating from out of state and could not be there to accept delivery myself I had a relative go to the home I purchased and do it for me so I would have a washer dryer and refrigerator when I returned. The washer had substantial damage to the right rear corner. There is no way the delivery guys could not have seen the damage and may have caused the damage. I found the damage after the 14 day period LG gives you when I had to move the dryer and install the pedestal under the washer. The pedestal was not install originally because the wrong ones came with the washer and dryer. When the new pedestals came RXO dropped them off and said they would not install them If I wanted them installed I would have to call to get someone to come out and do that. Not sure why but it was an easy install with help to lift the washer.

I cant say enough about both LG Washer and Dryer combination. So many wash cycles to choose from when using the LG app. Thus is my second set one for home and one for vacation home. Both get used frequently with constant visitors and Ive never had any issues. I love that my dryer has a steam cycle to assist in removing any wrinkles that remain in clothing. The pedestal accessory is great extra laundry basket inside can hold washed or dried clothing or use for storage for cleaning products. Engineers thought of everything. Thank you youve made my life so much easier

The washing machine is great just make sure you take the packaging bolts out of the back. If your washer is spinning like its going to take off this is most likely the problem.
